Allen Elishewitz ~ Custom KnifeMaker
About the Maker: {From Allen's 1991 catalog ~ included}
 All of the knives in the Elisheqitz collection are handcrafted by Allen
Elishewitz. This native Texan was born in irving, just outside Dallas.
In
addition to Texas, he has lived in Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, and
Thailand. This is one reason Elishewitz knives have a bit of Asian
influence.
He has studied martial arts and was able to master several different styles.
In addition to Okinawan Karate; he studied Thai Boxing, Northern Shaolin, Tai
Chi, and Tae Kwon Do. The study of martial arts is what really triggered
Allen's interest into the world of knife making.
He is currently serving as a Marine reserve in a Recon unit. He has had
specialized training in SOTG (Special Operation Training Group), anphibious
reconnaissance, and recon patrolling, just to name a few. The recon unit which
Allen is serving in has taught him quite a bit about using knives in
combat and field environment.
Allen has been involved with arts and crafts for most of his life. Some of
the areas which he is proficient are acid etching, printing, drawing, and
architectural drafting.
When Allen creates a knife, he pulls all of his resources together. The
final product is an outstanding working tool which is also pleasant to the
eyes.
